i’m back on Notion

Notion (affiliate link) is my first note-taking love, and yet, I had ditched it in favor of Obsidian for ease and general ai-hype.

Not that Obsidian was not good, but my brain is wired to think in terms of databases and views.

And BOY, I’m having a wonderful time with my notes again, and especially enjoying the freedom of having my notes on my phone again (obsidian sync screwed me too many times, I had abandoned the idea of having it on my phone).

Also honestly, the whole move made me realise I’m more free than I think about the tools I use.

I resisted for a long time because i thought it was going to be a whole mess - duplicates of content, missing links in the end, not being able to find the right obscure info... I was wrong. Not only was it done in less than 24h, the little things sorted themselves out bit by bit very smoothly. AI can handle this without any issues.

Also, it was actually needed.

It helped me make things faster and easier because the setup is now clean. I think a move like this is probably a good thing for a soloworker every 6 months or so. More often for whole companies so the context and organization don't become stale.

I reckon next time I change my mind, it could be done in one prompt.
