saw a video today of a girl going through her days. i like watching people go through their days in different cities, it's always a pleasure to see we're all the same and yet everything is different. but anyway, not the point. this video frustrated me a little because everytime she was enjoying something, she would switch up into 'science-based tips' mode and suddenly i would not be watching her enjoying the morning sun on her walk, i'd be listening to basic scientific facts about circadian rhythms and the rules of having better habits.
you don't enjoy the sun on your face right now because of circadian rhythms. not consciously. stop this.
i want to know what it feels like to walk around Shanghai and be that pretty, what does it feel like to get an idea you're excited about, how did you get there, what's your mental process through this, how is the sun on your skin feeling, is the cold refreshing or biting, is it helping...
I'll generalize, but that's what i'm looking for these days, both in my life, and on the internet
I want to feel things, and get excited with and for people. I don't want more tips on how to succeed at life in general, i want to know how you made the tiny steps to get where you are.
primary source is what i'm getting at.
the internet should have more primary sources of people doing stuff for the sake of the stuff, rather than... for what ? Rather : as opposed to secondary source rehashing the same info again and again like it's gospel. there's a bit of fuck format in there. a bit of a following on good learning material part 2.
it's not authenticity per se, although there is certainly something of that there. the good bits are in the personal details, in watching someone truly sharing something fun. in getting to follow along a journey, rather than a business plan.
and if it must be tips, tell me specifics.
more primary sources please.
anyway, this is an editorial rule for myself.
