A list of stuff that moved me this week (as in, made me want to get up and make stuff):
- A Beginner's Guide to Mischief - my brain fired 100 ideas a minute at me as I was reading this, cool ideas I want to see come alive in the most beautiful and playful way, and none of them had anything to do with making more money!! (huge step because reality is such a pesky concept)
- I Turned Old Furniture Into Workshop Stations for $0 - DIY in Progress : made me want to get into woodworking and get my tools out to personalize every piece of furniture with dragons and stars (except I live in a small flat on a high floor and there is no way)
- FUNNY little FEARS (DREAMS), the whole album by Damiano David - made me literally move my butt over to my painting station and add stars and such to my family farandole painting I've been 'meaning to get back to' for 3 weeks. It's still unfinished, but there's a particular shade of blue paint under my nails that makes me happy.
- the sheer number of people sharing stuff they made with AI on twitter - it's not conventional stuff. I see more and more games and experiments and it all makes me feel hopeful about human creativity (the glider game, the infinite adventure)
